Seattle
As you all know, Twin Peaks was one of my favorite TV shows. I was Laura Palmer for Halloween one year ("wrapped in plastic"), one roomate was the "Duraflame" log lady and another was Nadine, complete with shackles, an eye patch and the hospital gown. Kirstyn said they had a surprise for me and when she told me we were going to the cafe where they filmed TP. I was thrilled!!!
Then.......
Now....
It looks a bit different because there was a fire a few years ago and they had to remodel. Of course, red, white and blue is a step up from wood paneling when you have to remodel. And yes, that is a biker dude combing his hair forward at the counter. And yes, those are stuffed tweety birds hanging on the wall. It was as if they were still filming the show the place was so strange.
Oh yes, we had the cherry pie, and a "damn find cup of coffee" in a John Deer mug. Some people got the Bugs Bunny mugs. We got John Deer.
Yee haw.
Kirstyn had Wes take a picture of us holding the menu. I will have to post that one later.
Here is the train that runs through town.
One of THE coolest things about the goofy cafe was that they had a wall of stills from the series. There were 2 pictures of Kiefer Sutherland (and Chris Issac) when he played an FBI agent in the movie, Fire Walk with Me.
Just up the road a piece was the falls and the "Great Northern Lodge". I bought my self a bear sculpture from the gift shop. His name is Chum. He was 1/2 price cause his "welcome" fish has a broken tail. I have always wanted one of these cheesy bears and it is just perfect that I got it so close to the Great Northern and the Cafe.

We also did the Space Needle at sunset. I forgot my camera so I will have to wait to get images from Kirstyn.
We had great food everywhere we went. I had the best stuffed pork chops in the world. The best thing is you can go to a nice restrauant and you totally do not have to get dressed up. That is so my kind of town.
We saw some glass-blowing at the glass museum. That was very cool, or "hot" I guess. The ceiling reminded us of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.
Here is Kirstyn's house. (and Kirstyn! - Hi Kirstyn!!)
Here is the house across the street. I love her neighborhood, it reminds me of Tahoe. No sidewalks. I love that too. And everyone has dogs she says.
And here are the Clorox bottle Snoopy's that her 90-year old neighbor makes. So far, he only has five in the front yard. Kirstyn loves them.
