American Cancer Society's Relay for Life

Buddy was very excited when we got to the park and there were people all over the place walking. Here he is taking a break from his laps. (The 2 guys standing in the background are from the Fire dept. The one on the right is the one who interviewed me when I worked there and told me during my interview "I can be your best friend or I can be your worst enemy". Shelby told me I should ask him which one he is! LOL I really don't need either one thank you very much.)

Here is Anthony helping Buddy get a drink after Buddy and I chased Anthony across the track. The only thing that slowed Anthony down was being given the responsibility to hold on to Buddy's leash. Buddy was very careful and walked very slow when Anthony was in control. He was either tired from chasing Anthony or just knew not to go fast with him.

Buddy was very good with the kids. They gave him big bear hugs and Buddy was in heaven.

Here Buddy is waiting for Tina to make him his glow stick necklace for the evening luminaria (sp?) ceremony. People decorated bags in memory of someone who fought cancer and there was a candle lit in each one that burned all night as people walked the track. In the bleachers were blue bags lined up to spell the word "HOPE". It was a beautiful tribute.

Thanks to everyone who sent a donation for the cause. I have never done a fundraiser and it was awkward to ask for donations so I want you to know I really appreciate your support. Shelby mentioned some people do not like to get e-mails asking for money so I apologize to anyone who was offended. I just thought it would be easier for people to get the e-mail and not feel obligated. Next time I will just corner you when I see you till you give me money!

It was a great experience. It was very inspiring to see so many people get together for a good cause. I heard the turnout was low this year, but we raised more money than last year so that was great news!

Buddy, Sadie and Captain beg for treats.

Sadie looking at the camera wondering why a digital camera makes a shutter sound.

Buddy just kickin it. (of course after getting in an argument with the big blond dog next to us. I guess he just wants to keep big blond guys away from me...great.)

Le Dew is in this shot somewhere.
